Obama's Nuclear Restrictions are Suicidal

Obama's desire for a "nuclear-free world" is suicidal. By agreeing to reduce the number of nuclear weapons and stating that the US will never use weapons against a nation without them, nor use them without being attacked by nukes first, demonstrates Obama's weakness as Commander-in-Chief, his denunciation of Americans' right to life and his obligation to protect citizens from acts of aggression, his indifference to justice, as well as his delusion that all an enemy needs is a handshake. As I stated before, the fantasy of a nuclear-free world is tantamount to gun control - the good guys won't have any guns. This also shows his commitment to the Just War theory - that damage in response to the aggressor must be proportional to the damage inflicted on the victim, an immoral doctrine if there ever was one.

Gates also noted, however, the new policy sends a "strong message" to states such as Iran and North Korea.

In what way does this send a strong message in any way except to invite their hostility? How will this deter Iran or North Korea? This could only serve to embolden them as it openly demonstrates Obama's pacifism.

Obama has made reducing the global nuclear threat a top priority of his presidency, and will host a summit on that topic this month.

How will showing weakness reduce the threat? The way to reduce the threat from nations that have no regard for human life is to destroy them before they are able to become a nuclear threat.
